Mental Health and Her Daughter’s Medical Discovery
Nicole Sain, a proud Chicago native born and raised on the Westside, attended Whitney Young Magnet High School, where she was known for her shy and reserved demeanor. In 2018, Nicole gave birth to twins, and at just six months, she discovered that her twin daughter was born with a rare chromosome abnormality. Later, it was confirmed that her daughter was also on the autism spectrum.
In 2020, Nicole and her husband filed for divorce. Determined not to let life’s challenges overwhelm her—especially with minimal support from her biological family—Nicole began therapy. During her sessions, anti-anxiety medication was recommended, but she decided to explore holistic alternatives instead.
This journey led Nicole to learn about the calming benefits of Sativa. To counteract potential gum issues associated with its use, she incorporated eucalyptus oil and activated charcoal into her oral care routine. While using fluoride-free toothpaste at the time, it wasn’t until she added these ingredients that she experienced a noticeable difference, describing her teeth as having a polished, clean feel.
After months of consistent use, Nicole envisioned creating her own toothpaste. Though she didn’t have a clear path forward, she embraced the challenge, determined to bring her idea to life.
A Stranger’s Gift to Establish TrnscndWellness
Nicole’s vision for creating a toothpaste brand didn’t come to fruition immediately. In 2021, life threw unexpected hurdles her way, and she began to doubt whether her dream was meant to be. Then, she met someone who would change her trajectory.
While searching for private transportation services for her daughter, Nicole connected with a female business owner. The two shared stories, and Nicole expressed her admiration for the transportation owner’s journey. During their conversation, Nicole mentioned her dream of starting a business.
Without hesitation, the owner offered to gift Nicole the funds to establish TrnscndWellness LLC, saying, “I believe in you.” This incredible act of kindness felt like a divine sign to Nicole—one that gave her the courage to keep pursuing her vision.
Pineal Gland Awareness and Fluoride’s Role
As Nicole delved deeper into holistic health, she learned about the pineal gland—a small, pea-shaped gland in the brain that produces melatonin and regulates sleep cycles. An imbalance in melatonin can disrupt sleep, lead to weight gain, and contribute to conditions like type 2 diabetes.
A 2020 study, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Disturbance of the Melatonin System and Its Implications, revealed that 67–89% of children with ASD experience sleep disturbances, such as shorter sleep duration, difficulty falling asleep, frequent night awakenings, and daytime sleepiness.
Nicole also discovered during her research that suggested fluoride could calcify the pineal gland, hindering its ability to regulate melatonin production. With this knowledge, Nicole became passionate about protecting her autistic daughter from fluoride exposure. She also introduced detox baths with pink Himalayan Epsom salt and noticed improvements in her daughter’s sleep cycle, cognitive development, and overall physical health.
A Mission Rooted in Wellness
Nicole’s personal experiences fueled her passion for creating a toothpaste that strengthens teeth naturally—without fluoride. But her mission didn’t stop there. TrnscndWellness is committed to being a health and wellness company that serves consumers inclusively, offering products designed with empathy and care for diverse needs.
TrnscndWellness officially launched on November 19, 2024, and its flagship product, Talk toothpaste, is a testament to Nicole’s vision: an innovative, fluoride-free toothpaste that supports oral health while addressing unique sensitivities.
